Deadline: June 22, 2026

A.TE.N.A. (Art, Techniques and New Analysis in Pietrasanta) is a new artist residency program for young creatives, set in one of Italy's most important art towns. The project will select 10 artists and 2 curators, all under 36, for two tracks, Techne and Analysis, hosting them at the project's expense for six months in the heart of Pietrasanta, from October 1, 2026 through March 31, 2027.

The residency is open to people aged 18 to 35. Its aim is to immerse participants in the local tradition of sculpture and artisan craft while developing new contemporary languages, producing works that will be shown in an exhibition during the final stage of the residency. Participants have the rare chance to work alongside the historic master craftspeople of Pietrasanta, long a center for marble and bronze.

The initiative is promoted by the Comune di Pietrasanta together with the Museo dei Bozzetti 'Pierluigi Gherardi,' the Museo Igor Mitoraj and the training agency Soecoforma, with the support of the Region of Tuscany and Giovanisi, the regional program dedicated to young people's autonomy. It offers an unusual combination of formal residency, hands-on production with skilled artisans, and a public exhibition outcome.

Applications are open through June 22, 2026. Full details and the application are available on the official residency site.
