Creative Catalysts Exhibition Call for Art

Artists across media can register for Creative Catalysts, a collaborative exhibition using literature as a lens, showcased at GroundWork Gallery this fall.

Deadline: July 31, 2026

Artists are sought for Creative Catalysts, a collaborative exhibition presented through an online call for art by GroundWork SouthCoast. The exhibition features visual art, literary arts, music and multimedia work, using literature as a lens for new perspectives. Each artist or pair selects a work of literature to guide their creative process.

Registration is open to solo artists or teams, and runs through July 31 at 10 a.m. Solo artists are paired with a collaborator, and each artist produces individual work shaped by a shared literary inspiration. The project showcases partnerships between artists working across several media.

GroundWork Gallery will present the exhibition from October 3 through November 29. A minimum donation of 20 dollars supports organizing, curation, promotion and management, with higher contributions encouraged when possible and lower-cost donations accepted based on ability. Artists Share sessions in June and July offer brainstorming and project support.

The program is supported in part by the New Bedford Cultural Council and the Massachusetts Cultural Council. Full registration details are available through the call's Eventbrite page.
