Loraldia Bidea Bidean Bide Call for Young Artists

Loraldia invites Basque-language creators under 30 to present proposals for autumn-winter 2026 programming. Deadline July 15.

Deadline: July 15, 2026

Loraldia has opened the call for its Bidea Bidean Bide project, an initiative within the Loraldia Gaztea line of work. Through this program, Loraldia offers young artists and creators under 30 a space to present their work before the public. Proposals received through this call may be programmed within Bidea Bidean Bide during autumn-winter 2026, and the deadline to submit is July 15.

Bidea Bidean Bide is aimed at young artists taking their first steps in creation. Its goal is to give visibility to young creation in the Basque language and to offer a first experience before an audience. It is not only about performing or showing a work, but about giving space to a creative process, testing a proposal, generating a first encounter with the public and beginning to build one's own artistic path.

The call is open to proposals from all cultural and creative fields, including music, theatre, dance, bertsolaritza, literature, poetry, performance, audiovisual, plastic or visual arts, gastronomy, digital creation and interdisciplinary projects. Proposals must have a clear connection to creation in the Basque language, with priority given to works created wholly or mainly in Basque and to projects that explore new languages and experimental formats. Loraldia will evaluate the interest and artistic personality of each project, its contribution to Basque-language creation, the viability of the format and its capacity to connect with the public. Proposals led by women creators, or with a significant presence of women, will be especially valued. Applicants submit through the online form.
