Tuscany Visual Arts Training Call for Young Artists
Tuscany's Giovanisi program funds professional training and paid traineeships in contemporary visual arts for graduates aged 18 to 30. Deadline July 31.
The Tuscany Region, through its Giovanisi program, supports the training and professional growth of young graduate artists aged 18 to 30, with the aim of promoting their entry into the cultural sector. The program funds projects that offer non-formal theoretical training with sector specialists and a non-curricular traineeship.
Each project involves between two and six participants and lasts at least 700 hours (1,300 in the case of a traineeship extension), divided between a minimum of 100 hours of theoretical training and a minimum of 600 hours of traineeship. The monthly expense reimbursement for the trainee is 800 euros gross, and participants in the non-formal theoretical training receive an attendance allowance of 3.50 euros per hour per person.
Applicants must be aged 18 to 30, hold a master's or specialist degree obtained no more than 24 months before the traineeship begins, and be unemployed, not employed, inactive and not engaged in a course of study or training. To take part, candidates apply to the selections promoted by the participating organizations. An active project is 'Sguardi Condivisi: photography, visual arts and participation on the territory,' promoted by the Fondazione Studio Marangoni in Florence, with two available places and a deadline of July 31, 2026. The projects are funded with resources from the European Social Fund Plus 2021/27. For information on each project, candidates should contact the promoting organizations directly.
