Louisville District 10 Mural Artists Call 2026

Louisville Metro is funding two new public murals in District 10, with grants up to $10,000 each for Greater Kentuckiana artists. Deadline July 17.

Deadline: July 17, 2026

Louisville Councilwoman Josie Raymond, in partnership with the Office of Arts and Creative Industries and the Commission on Public Art (COPA), is opening a second round of opportunities for mural artists to create two additional public art murals in District 10. The initiative will award grants of up to $10,000 each for two new mural projects.

The call builds on a first project, in which artist Riley Gregor of StraightEdge Creative was selected for a community mural at Sandy's Pet Shop, at the corner of Hess Lane and Poplar Level Road. Work on that mural is expected to begin in summer 2026.

Individual artists and artist teams from the Greater Kentuckiana area are eligible to apply. Proposed mural sites must be located within District 10 and be visible from the public right-of-way. Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of District 10 residents and representatives from COPA.

Property owners interested in hosting a mural can contact Councilwoman Raymond's office to be connected with an artist. Applications are accepted online through July 17.
