Native Plants and Pollinators Juried Exhibit Call

Apothecary Artists and Gallery in Southborough invites artists to a juried fall exhibit celebrating New England native plants and pollinators. Deadline July 12.

Deadline: July 12, 2026

Apothecary Artists and Gallery, a downtown gallery in Southborough, Massachusetts, invites artists to apply for a juried exhibit inspired by the beauty and vitality of native plants and native pollinators. The gallery ran a similar exhibit last summer and is repeating it this year.

Artists of all experience levels and disciplines are invited to apply by Friday, July 12. Accepted works must be ready to drop off at the studio between July 18 and 21 for the exhibit, which runs August 1 through 31. Organizers encourage original works in any medium, including photography, mixed media, painting, and sculpture, though hanging works are preferred. Works do not have to be for sale to be included, but the studio takes a 30 percent commission on any sales.

The subject matter should celebrate native plants and pollinators, from the delicate petals of a flower to the intricate patterns of leaves and the stories local pollinators tell. The exhibition aims to highlight the importance of native plants in the community and continue collective education about them. The featured plants and pollinators must be native to New England; non-native species, including honey bees, will not be accepted. Organizers point artists to resources such as the Native Plant Trust's Go Botany tool to verify whether a plant is native, and encourage artists to email with any questions.
