Open Call: Reimagining Cuarteto, Museo del Cuarteto Cordoba

Deadline: June 25, 2026

As part of the celebrations for the Month of Cuarteto, the Cordoba Culture Agency, through the Museo del Cuarteto and together with Almenara Network, has opened a multidisciplinary call for artists who reside in the province of Cordoba, Argentina. The initiative seeks to encourage the production and circulation of contemporary works inspired by cuarteto, treated as a fundamental expression of the musical, social, and aesthetic identity of Cordoba, and it asks creators to reinterpret the history, codes, and legacy of the genre with a fresh, original perspective.

The call is structured in four categories. Muralism asks for a sketch or render for an intervention on the ground floor of the Museo del Cuarteto. Photography seeks images tied to concerts, dances, portraits, historical archives, objects, or everyday scenes that capture the popular identity of cuarteto. The audiovisual category covers music videos, short films, fashion films, documentary records, video art, and experimental pieces. Graphic design covers posters, flyers, typography, collages, or illustrations in any technique that recover the aesthetics and visual codes of the genre.

A jury of three figures from the music industry, production, and cultural management will evaluate the submissions, including the artist Magui Olave, a representative of Almenara Network, and a representative of the Museo del Cuarteto. The jury will choose four winning works, one per category, based on originality, artistic quality, conceptual connection to the genre, and feasibility. Beyond the prizes, the selected pieces will be part of a special exhibition at the Museo del Cuarteto during the month of celebration.

Participation is open to people over 18 who can prove residence in the province of Cordoba. Entry is individual, with one proposal allowed per person per category, and works must be original and inspired genuinely by cuarteto. The deadline to send proposals is June 25, 2026.
