Pioneer Works 2027 Residency Open Call

Brooklyn's Pioneer Works offers free studio space, facilities and financial awards to visual artists and musicians through its 2027 residency program.

Pioneer Works, the New York arts and performance space, has announced its 2027 residency program. The residency offers free studio space and access to facilities, visits with curators, gallerists, critics and artists, and financial awards. Twelve residents each will be accepted into the visual arts and music programs.

The program gives selected artists time, space and institutional resources, along with the chance to connect with the wider creative community around Pioneer Works. Upcoming and previous music residents include DJ Haram, Lia Kohl, Nourished by Time and Astrid Sonne, among others. Founded in 2012, Pioneer Works has hosted artists including Oneohtrix Point Never, MIKE and Jeff Mills.

Applications are open now through July 13. Visual artists and musicians can find full eligibility and submission details on the Pioneer Works website. The residency provides a supported environment for experimentation and the development of new work, with access to the organization's facilities and programming.
