Tampere Community Art Open Call, Finland
The City of Tampere seeks artists and working groups to deliver community art in the Kaukajarvi-Annala area in autumn 2026. Deadline August 2.
The City of Tampere Public Cultural Services is seeking artists, art educators or working groups to deliver community art activities in the Kaukajarvi-Annala area of Finland in autumn 2026. The call for proposals is available on the Culture Bank online service, with submissions due by August 2, 2026.
This call forms part of the area's long-term cultural work, which aims to strengthen residents' participation and foster a sense of community through the arts. The primary target audience for the community art is young people, along with their friends, families and other local residents, and activities are intended to be accessible and easy to take part in. During the autumn, Kaukajarvi will also host a variety of other arts activities that invite people to try new things and connect with others, both in guided groups and as open workshops and events throughout the Haihara area.
A new development is the introduction of Meanwhile Use Spaces for Culture and Arts, located in the former caretaker's residence within the Haihara estate grounds. The call is open to creators working in community art, participatory art or related fields, and proposals are especially encouraged from artist duos, although individual applicants are also welcome. The call for proposals is available on the Culture Bank online service, and registration with Culture Bank is free of charge.
