Comunidades para el Futuro: Young Performing Artists
Iberescena and SEGIB support performing artists and cultural managers aged 18 to 30 to access international mobility funds and networks. Project deadline in ...
The Iberescena program and SEGIB, with support from the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), have opened two international calls for the mentoring program Comunidades para el Futuro. Tejiendo territorios (Communities for the Future. Weaving territories). The initiative responds to the difficulties that performing artists and cultural managers aged 18 to 30 face in accessing international mobility funds and networks, and seeks to build a solid community of decentralized, sustainable cultural exchange across Ibero-America.
There are two lines of application. The Window People call is aimed at three performing arts professionals who were Iberescena beneficiaries between 2021 and 2024 and have experience in cultural management, pedagogy or creative mentoring; they will share tools and lessons related to international application and mobility processes, accompanying the group from their own trajectories. This line is open between May 27 and June 7. The Projects call will select 18 young people, one per Iberescena member country, with proposals for creation in residence, co-production or programming. Those selected will take part in six virtual meetings between June and August 2026 to strengthen their projects.
Full details and the application forms are available on the SEGIB and Iberescena websites, and questions can be sent to the program by email.
