La Plata Winter Holidays 2026: Call for Performers

The city of La Plata invites local artists, casts and cultural collectives to submit children's shows for its 2026 winter holiday program. Apply by June 14.

The Municipality of La Plata, Argentina has opened a call for local artists, casts and cultural collectives to take part in the official programming of the 2026 winter holidays. Organized through the Secretaria de Cultura, the program aims to strengthen local artistic production, generate work for the sector and bring quality, accessible shows to families across all neighborhoods of the district.

The initiative runs from July 20 to August 2, 2026 in cultural centers and municipal spaces throughout the city. It is aimed specifically at children's shows in theatre, musical comedy, music, puppetry, magic, circus, clown and related disciplines, with a maximum running time of 40 to 50 minutes.

Selected productions will be presented in a circuit that includes some of the region's most emblematic venues, such as the Republica de los Ninos, the Centro Municipal de las Artes Pasaje Dardo Rocha, the Centro Cultural y de la Memoria Islas Malvinas, the Centro Cultural Julio Lopez, the Centro Cultural y Polideportivo Los Hornos, and the Complejo Bibliotecario Municipal Palacio Lopez Merino, along with various municipal delegations.

Applications remain open until June 14, 2026 through the online form provided by the city. Applicants must submit a folder including the synopsis of the work, the group's background, the technical sheet, technical requirements, press photographs, and the details of the participants, together with Argentores documentation and the cooperative registration of the Asociacion Argentina de Actores when applicable. Selection criteria include the adaptability of the shows to different spaces.
