MansA Lab Cultural Incubator 2026-2027
Paris-based MansA Lab incubates 12 cultural and creative projects connected to Africa and its diasporas. Open to creators based in France.
Cultural and creative entrepreneurs based in France have until July 3, 2026 to apply for the second cohort of MansA Lab, the incubator of the Maison des Mondes Africains (MansA) in Paris. The program supports innovative projects that explore new narratives and imaginaries connected to the African continent and its diasporas.
The call is open to adult cultural entrepreneurs, with no age limit, living in France, including its overseas territories of Guadeloupe, Martinique, Guyane, Mayotte and La Reunion. Projects should be in an emergence or development phase and fall within one of four fields: audiovisual work such as film, series, animation, video games and immersive content; innovative media including web radio, podcasts, platforms, newsletters and influence agencies; publishing and visual arts such as comics, webtoons and art galleries; and fashion and transdisciplinary projects spanning design, music, graphics and cross-media.
Twelve projects will be selected for a hybrid incubation program that combines remote support with in-person sessions in Paris. Participants receive personalized mentoring, training in project management, strategy, communication and fundraising, access to production resources and sector expertise, workspace at the Maison des Mondes Africains, and networking with institutional, cultural and financial partners. Participation costs 200 euros per project per month, with specific support planned to help laureates from the overseas territories take part.
Applications are evaluated by a jury of cultural and creative professionals, alongside representatives of MansA and the support structure Pali Pali. The program runs from October 6, 2026 through June 30, 2027. Applications must be submitted in French through the form on the Creation Africa platform.
