Deadline: September 15, 2026

The Museo del Mar de Santa Pola in Alicante, Spain, has opened its 5th International Public Call for Exhibition Projects. Aimed at artists, curators, artistic collectives, and cultural institutions, the call invites proposals for visual arts exhibitions and other displays of artistic interest to be shown in the museum's galleries during 2027 and 2028.

The museum is preparing its exhibition program for those years with the goal of maintaining, and even surpassing, the quality that has made it, with nearly 150,000 visits, the second most visited museum in the province of Alicante, behind only the MARQ. Proposals will be shown across the various halls of the Castillo Fortaleza de Santa Pola.

An external jury of recognized professionals will select a maximum of four projects, each funded with 1,500 euros, of which 1,000 euros go to the artist or artistic collective and 500 euros to the curator. In addition, the Museo del Mar will cover the costs of installation, dissemination, and promotion of the exhibitions.

The submission period is now open and closes on September 15, 2026. The full guidelines can be consulted through the museum's official channels.
