Open Call: 103rd National Salon of Santa Fe & Hugo Padeletti Award

The Rosa Galisteo Museum opens registration for its 103rd National Salon and 9th Hugo Padeletti research award, with prizes up to 5 million pesos.

The Museo Provincial de Bellas Artes Rosa Galisteo de Rodríguez in Santa Fe, Argentina, has announced registration for its two annual competitions: the 103rd National Salon of Santa Fe and the 9th Hugo Padeletti Award. Registration opens on June 10, 2026, and is conducted exclusively online through the museum’s website, where the full regulations, annexes and entry form are available.

The National Salon of Santa Fe is one of the country’s longest-running visual arts competitions. Since its first edition in 1922, when the museum was inaugurated, it has been held annually and updated to reflect contemporary practices. This 2026 edition adopts a small-format approach, with works no larger than 40 cm per side, owing to renovation work underway in the museum building. Argentine or foreign artists and collectives with at least three years of continuous, verifiable residence in the country, aged 18 or over, may take part. Accepted media include two- and three-dimensional pieces, painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, installation, audiovisual, digital and performance works. Each artist or collective may submit up to two works, and the jury will select up to 25 works for the Salon. Prizes include the Government of Santa Fe Acquisition Prize of 5 million pesos and several stimulus prizes of 2 million pesos each, including the Horacio Caillet Bois Selection for contemporary Santa Fe artists.

The 9th Hugo Padeletti Award invites Argentine or foreign researchers with more than three years of continuous residence in the country to submit original projects whose object of study is the Rosa Galisteo Museum: its collection, history, artists or pedagogical and exhibition practices. The selected project must be developed and completed within 11 months, and the winning researcher or team receives a stimulus of 2.5 million pesos.
