113th Salon Nacional de Artes Visuales, Argentina
Argentina's oldest art competition, held since 1911, is open to artists nationwide across ten categories. Registration has been extended to June 28, 2026.
Argentina's Secretaria de Cultura de la Nacion has opened the call for the 113th Salon Nacional de Artes Visuales, the country's oldest art competition, held continuously since 1911 and awarding the works considered most representative of Argentine art. The call is open to artists across the country, and the closing date has been extended to Sunday, June 28, 2026.
This edition carries special weight: it includes a double round of awards, recognizing works from 2024, the year the salon could not be held. The competition spans ten categories, Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Fire Arts, Design, Photography, Graphic Arts, Installations and Alternative Media, Textile, and Non-Disciplinary Space, and delivers acquisition prizes, non-acquisition prizes and National Awards for Artistic Trajectory.
Artist registration is handled through the Federal Culture Registry (Registro Federal de Cultura) at somos.cultura.gob.ar. Applicants should confirm the requirements for their category, prepare documentation of their work and complete registration before the extended deadline.
The Salon is presented by the Palais de Glace / Palacio Nacional de las Artes, which publishes the full schedule and participation requirements. Selected works move through jury stages toward the final exhibition and awards. Artists working in any of the eligible disciplines are encouraged to apply before June 28, 2026.
