Prix Videre en arts visuels 2026 (Quebec City)
Three visual arts awards for artists from Quebec City and Wendake, each with a $1,000 bursary. Deadline August 16, 2026.
The Prix Videre en arts visuels have opened their 2026 call for applications, inviting visual artists from Quebec City and Wendake to put their work forward. Three distinctions will be awarded in the fall of 2026: Releve (emerging), Creation, and Reconnaissance, chosen according to each artist's career stage and the quality of the exhibitions they presented between September 1, 2025 and August 31, 2026.
New this year, organizations may submit the candidacy of an artist hosted in their 2025-2026 programming, though the prize remains awarded to the artist. Each laureate receives a bursary of $1,000.
The awards recognize recent exhibition activity rather than a single submitted project, making them a way to celebrate sustained practice within the Quebec City and Wendake visual arts community. Application files must include an artistic statement, a visual portfolio, a CV, the completed form, and, where relevant, press coverage.
The deadline to apply is August 16, 2026.
