Deadline: August 12, 2026

The British Council's Connections Through Culture 2026 grants support cultural partnerships, artistic collaboration and cross-cultural exchange between UK-based partners and partners in eligible participating countries. The programme funds co-created projects that build international relationships and strengthen collaboration across arts, culture and the creative sectors.

Grants range from 5,000 to 15,000 pounds per project or partnership, with the maximum depending on the participating country. Grants of up to 15,000 pounds are available for partnerships involving countries including Argentina, Bangladesh, Colombia, Pakistan, Peru and Saudi Arabia, while other participating countries have limits between 5,000 and 10,000 pounds. Projects must take place between December 2026 and December 2027.

Eligible applicants include artists, creative practitioners, arts and cultural organisations, festivals, biennials, creative hubs, networks and collectives. Eligible disciplines span architecture, design, fashion, craft, creative technology, film, literature, music, theatre, dance and visual arts. Every project must involve at least one UK-based partner and at least one partner based in an eligible participating country, working together to design, develop and deliver the work.

Strong applications show genuine co-creation, clear roles for each partner, mutual benefit and long-term relationship potential, along with attention to inclusion, accessibility and environmental responsibility. Applications are submitted through the Good Grants platform; review the toolkit and FAQs on the British Council Arts website before applying. The deadline is August 12, 2026.
