Quebec LGBTQ+ Arts and Identities Support Measure

Quebec funds projects that amplify the work of LGBTQ+ artists, covering up to 90% of costs to a maximum of $50,000. Eligible organizations apply by August 21...

Deadline: August 21, 2026

The Quebec Ministry of Culture and Communications has opened a call for projects under its Support Measure for LGBTQ+ Promotion: Arts and Identities (Mesure de soutien pour le rayonnement LGBTQ+ : arts et identites). The program is designed to increase the visibility and circulation of work created by professional LGBTQ+ artists and authors, whose voices, paths and perspectives the ministry describes as essential to Quebec's cultural richness.

By supporting both the creation and the presentation of these works, the measure recognizes the specific realities faced by LGBTQ+ artists and their decisive role in the evolution of contemporary artistic expression. The ministry frames the initiative as a step toward fairer, more diverse and more inclusive representation across the cultural landscape.

Each selected project may receive financial assistance covering up to 90 percent of eligible expenses, to a maximum of $50,000. Eligible organizations can submit a project until August 21, 2026. The program is part of the Quebec government's 2023-2028 action plan to combat homophobia and transphobia.

Organizations working with LGBTQ+ creators across disciplines, including visual arts, performing arts, music, literature and interdisciplinary practice, are encouraged to design projects that bring this work to wider audiences. Applicants should review the program's eligibility rules and required documentation before submitting, and prepare a budget that clearly identifies eligible expenses.
