Delta Gotica Genre Short Film Festival Call
Delta Gotica, an interregional genre film festival in Argentina, calls for fiction and documentary shorts up to 15 minutes. Deadline September 11.
Delta Gotica is the first interregional genre film festival of Ensenada and Berisso, Argentina, born out of the Cine de Ultratumba y del Mas Alla series. The festival's purpose is to spread and promote independent genre cinema and to open doors to new filmmakers. The current call accepts entries through September 11, 2026.
Only short films, fiction or documentary, are admitted, with a duration not exceeding 15 minutes including credits. Works made from 2024 to the present are accepted, and any audiovisual work that uses artificial intelligence, in part or in whole, will be disqualified, as the festival maintains the importance of quality cinema grounded in human creativity. If the work is not spoken in Spanish, a Spanish subtitle must be provided. Online viewing links with a minimum resolution of HD (1280x720) are accepted.
Selected works are screened in person and in digital format, and participants grant unlimited, non-exclusive exhibition rights for the chosen work. International short films require payment through the festival website, and proof of payment must be sent to the festival email. There are no refunds for withdrawal or disqualification. By registering, participants authorize the organizers to publicly broadcast their name in any medium for the promotion of the festival, and received material may be used for promotional, non-profit purposes. The jury's decision is final.
