Embracing Our Differences invites artists and writers worldwide for its 2027 outdoor exhibition in Florida. 12,000 dollars in awards, no fee. Deadline July 1.

Deadline: July 1, 2026

Embracing Our Differences invites artists and writers from around the world to be part of its 2027 exhibition in Sarasota and St. Petersburg, Florida. The annual outdoor exhibition celebrates diversity through large-scale art and original quotations that reflect unique perspectives and inspire kindness, respect and understanding.

Artists and writers are invited to submit artwork and original quotations exploring the theme of diversity. The competition is open to students and adults, amateur and professional creatives, with no submission fee. There is a total of 12,000 dollars in cash awards. The deadline to apply is July 1, 2026.

Each year the juried exhibition transforms public spaces into open-air galleries, with selected works enlarged and displayed where tens of thousands of visitors and schoolchildren encounter them. The program pairs visual art with written quotations to spark reflection on inclusion and shared humanity, making it one of the most widely seen public art exhibitions of its kind. Full guidelines and the submission portal are available through the Embracing Our Differences website.
