The Municipality of Parana, in Entre Rios, Argentina, has extended registration for its 2026 Municipal Art Awards until Friday, June 26 at 1 p.m. The call is aimed at artists residing in Parana and the Greater Parana metropolitan area, and seeks to promote and recognize local artistic production.

The awards cover several categories: Visual Arts (Textile Art and Ceramics), Performing Arts (Theater), Dance, Music (Unpublished Song), and Illustrated Poem. Registration and submission of works are carried out exclusively through the MiParana online platform. The subsecretary of culture, Joaquin Arijon, said the extension allows more artists to finish and present their work, and highlighted the municipal investment in an initiative established by ordinance.

Winners receive cash prizes that vary by category. In the Performing Arts, Theater section, the prizes are first place 2,556,200 pesos, second place 2,070,522 pesos, and third place 1,559,282 pesos. In Visual Arts (Textile Art and Ceramics), the first prize is an acquisition prize of 1,124,728 pesos, with second and third prizes of 984,137 and 843,546 pesos. Dance prizes match those of Theater, and the Music category recognizes an unpublished song.

Veronica Moreira, coordinator of the Municipal Visual Arts Awards, said the program seeks to value local art and encourage new expressions and experimental projects. Interested artists should register and submit their work through the MiParana platform before the June 26 deadline.
