Peru Calls Performing Arts Projects for Teatro a Mil 2027
Peru's Ministry of Culture offers three grants of up to S/ 25,000 for performing arts projects to represent Peru at Chile's Teatro a Mil 2027.
Peru's Ministry of Culture, through its 2026 Economic Stimulus for Culture (EEC) program for the performing, visual and music arts, has opened a call for Peruvian artistic initiatives to represent the country at the International Theater Festival Teatro a Mil (FITAM) 2027 in Chile, one of the most important performing arts gatherings in Latin America.
The call is part of the Competition for International Circulation Projects for the Arts, Category B: Specialized circulation in the international market PLATEA, and is directed at artists, cultural managers and organizations linked to the performing arts. It seeks to strengthen the diffusion and visibility of Peruvian stage production through participation in international showcases. Selected projects will access PLATEA Professionals' Week, the international market of FITAM, which brings together programmers, festival directors, theater representatives, networks and cultural organizations from many countries.
Up to three Peruvian works will join the PLATEA 2027 program and present to international cultural professionals, expanding their possibilities for exhibition, circulation and access to new markets. Participants also gain access to business meetings, professional encounters, project presentations and networking. The Ministry will award up to S/ 25,000 to each beneficiary.
