SALA 2026 Festival: Call for Artists and Poets

Art Forum SF has issued a call for artists and poets for SALA 2026, the South Asian Literature and Arts festival taking place September 26-27, 2026 at Menlo College in Atherton, California.

For the artist call, Art Forum SF will feature selected artists' work on display at the festival venue over two days. Organizers are looking for visual artists, ceramicists, and sculptors, and encourage contemporary mixed-media artists. Selected artists must be available to set up and take down their work, and will showcase to an audience of more than 2,000 people free of charge. Art Forum SF takes no commission or fee from selected artists, and all sales are processed by the artists directly. The deadline for artist applications is June 26, 2026.

The festival also includes an open-mic poetry reading, for which Art Forum SF is selecting emerging South Asian poets and authors to read during the festival. Poetry should be written in English, mentorship is provided to selected speakers, and selected readers are promoted by Art Forum SF. A separate vendor application is also open for South Asian small-business owners.
