V Regional Art Talents Salon, Medellin Chamber 2026
The Medellin Chamber of Commerce invites self-taught visual artists in Antioquia's regions to its V Salon de Talentos Regionales. Deadline June 30.
The Medellin Chamber of Commerce for Antioquia (Camara de Comercio de Medellin para Antioquia) has opened entries for the fifth Salon de Talentos Regionales en el Arte, a stimulus program for plastic and visual artists without a professional degree in the arts. It is aimed at self-taught creators or those trained through courses, workshops and other non-formal paths.
The program is built to give visibility, circulation and recognition to artistic practices developed across the five regions where the Chamber operates: Norte, Aburra Norte, Suroeste, Bajo Cauca and Occidente. Artists must live in one of the 68 municipalities where the Chamber has a regional presence; the program does not apply to artists living in Medellin, which has its own stimulus programs. Accepted work includes painting, printmaking, drawing, collage, photography, sculpture, relief and small-format installation, with pieces meeting the organizers' size requirements.
Up to 20 works will be selected per region, for a total of 100 projects that will travel through their territories before joining a larger group presentation at the Chamber's Centro headquarters in January 2027. In each region one winning work receives a cash award of 2,500,000 Colombian pesos, with two special mentions of 1,000,000 pesos each. Entries are open until June 30 at 5:00pm, online through the Chamber's portal or in person at its regional business centers.
